I accidently deleted my skyrimprefs in the documents folder is there anyway to get them back...i have the steam version...i validated my skrim cache and am in the process of downloading something but i got a bad feeling i got to start all over with a fresh install huh?

Perhaps you could try restoring a previous version of the documents folder...best I can think of.

If SkyrimPrefs.ini is missing from your documents folder, the game should generate a new default copy of it there when you launch it again.

If you've made a bunch of changes to the file that you don't want to lose, about the only thing I could recommend is to try and restore it from the Recycle Bin, or try a restore like mentioned above.
