Lighting Optimization

I want to optimize the lighting in the Dovahkiin hideout for a living area I am working on. Because of all the lighting on the level above it the lower section is already lit up even without wall torches and lighting. Do I use an http://i.imgur.com/J1R20PD.jpg or something else?

What about giving it a try and see how things go? :)

I tired it in game and it's too bright from what I can tell. So I don't think it worked. Everyone's gamma is different, or ENB, and so on. It might have optimized the space so that things on the other side of the plane aren't rendered. I want to try and use the right kind of tool.

you can put each level in a separate room marker and use portal strict lights.

or maybe you can just replace the lights that shine through with shadow ones. they don't.
