Internet service(Comcast or At&t)

Hi everyone, I;m hoping you guys to give some perspective or stories of your dealings with these two companies when it comes into internet service, and how well it been going for you or how you just had a terrible experience. The reason I'm asking is we just moved into a new house and we're currently fed up with Comcast service and might go into At&t but it not decided yet, so I'm hoping to hear how well your service was for you. Btw does internet service companies provide different treatment depending on where you live? Like I live in the south and I'm curious if it different up north.

I have AT&T. It's been good so far. I think we have the fastest plan available. Very rarely does our Internet go out, and that's mainly in strong thunderstorms. I live in the south (Dallas, TX).

Comcast customer service is very poor. I tried to get another HD box added to my package and they said they could do it no problem. Never sent anyone out or acknowledged that the conversations took place. Took me 4 tries to actually get the box. I wasn't billed for it either. It's like they don't want money sometimes. I've had similar problems with their Internet getting upgrades and removing the Hidden Network hotspots that they think everyone should broadcast. They have nice packages but the customer service is beyond terrible. I've never seen so many inept people working for one company. If they weren't the only decent carrier around I would have dropped them.

I'm not sure if those are your only two options but I'm with Verizon and they have a pretty good track record with me. I haven't heard many good things about Comcast.

I'm amazed at how long this guy has remained calm and dealt with this Comcast agent, I would've lost it within a minute.
