How did you react when you first met Vivec?

Was I the only one in complete awe? Maybe it's because my first playthrough was with MSGO so Vivec had a god-like voice and a more unique appearance, but still. You play through the main questline constantly hearing references to the 3 big daddies that were responsible for the death of your past life, and then after walking up the steps of his Grand Temple and opening the door, you're faced with a rather empty but scenic room with a floating, unique looking NPC in the dead center. After the initial awe, I thought to myself: Now THAT'S how you introduce a God!"

Some of my friends online said they really didn't react much and only wanted to proceed with the main quest. What about you guys? What did you guys think?

I don't normally have a reason to go see him. I've never played through the main quest for any of TES games, not even once, I've been playing Oblivion since 2008, and I've been playing Morrowind in particular since 2010. They just aren't the reason why I play these games.

That said, I have met him once while mod testing. I killed him. I already knew he was in there though, and basically what he looked like from seeing pictures on the internet, so it wasn't a surprise.

I was pretty impressed. His abode goes with his character: it is lonely to be a god.

I have been playing Oblivion and Morrowind nearly as long as Zetman (since 2009 for me) and Skyrim since 2011, and like Zetman, I had never completed the main quest line in any Elder Scrolls game.

Well that all changed last weekend when I finished the Morrowind main quest for the first time.

I met Vivec for the first time about two weeks ago. It took me about two weeks real time (about 25-30 hours game time) to prepare for and complete an assault on Red Mountain.

I must say, I was pretty impressed with both Vivec and Dagoth Ur. I use MGSO, so graphically these two gods were stunning, and their voices were impressive (although there was a missing mp3 file for one of Vivec's responses in my MGSO install) but I think it was more the dialog that impressed me than the way the gods looked and sounded. Their conversation was believable. In particular, I liked the way Vivec described what it was like to be a man-god, who could exist both within time and outside of it.
