Things you've always missed, until now...

Hey, all. I think we've all had those experiences where we die in an ES, are forced to reload, and wind up finding things we hadn't before. Maybe it's a hidden potion, or some Gold, etc. Even starting a new game can have you saying "I've played this game for years and am only now finding this?". Here are some of mine...

I realized there's a beehive hiding under the northern walkway (where the Whiterun guards patrol) in Riverwood.

Initially, I gave up completely on thinking there was any sort of chest/loot outside the entrance of Bleak Falls Barrow, but I did find some just recently. Did you guys also find it? Maybe all of you did already, lol.

There's also a potion just outside the back entrance of Bleak Falls Barrow, to the west at your feet.

There's another lockbox hiding under an overturned basket with a Skill Point book on top of it. Part of the ruins of the destroyed stone house, across the river, north of Ivarstead.

There are 3 Rock Warbler Eggs in a basket in the Helgen Keep. (the 'find some potions' optional part with Hadvar; that room)

I think Skyrim gets criticism for not hiding awesome and diverse items like Morrowind did. There was so much to find in Morrowind; made exploring actually fun and worth it! Not so much in the two future titles.

Did you guys find the enchanted Pickaxe? ;) Lol.

Doesn't necessarily have to be items - anything you missed initially, but later found out about in an ES game.

Where the hell is there loot outside the entrance of Bleak Falls? :o

Somewhat recently, in the Alftand Cathedral (where you fight the Dwarven Centurion), I only just found a chest tucked away between a pipe and a Falmer hut, right next to the gate you have to lower to get through. Couldn't believe I had missed it after so many trips through there. Also didn't realize there was another chest behind a waterfall in the final chamber of Bleak Falls Barrow until someone else told me about it recently lol.

In Morrowind, after years of playing, I almost literally tripped over Chrysamere in a cave near on the eastern coast that I decided to explore on a whim. That was one hell of a find. XD

The Bleak Falls loot is minimal, but it's there. Drop down onto the snowy ground west of the stairs (just south of the main entrance) and walk north, hugging the wall. It's tucked away in the corner of an alcove, very hard to see without a torch, or Candlelight (my favorite spell, lol).

Oh, nice.

Morrowind was best at hiding awesome stuff like that.

Holy [censored]! Incredible find, how'd you manage to stumble upon that? XD

Indeed, it was one of my favorite aspects of Morrowind. "Oh hey, that cave looks interesting." *randomly finds endgame-level weapon* Of course, then I'd start sweating because it means something terrifying is guarding it nearby lol.
