Switching skyre to percus maximus

Post » Fri Dec 12, 2014 1:48 pm

I want to change over from skyre to percus maximus. The mod site suggests that this is likely best done with a new game and support is not provided for switching mid game. I know that there are other people that have switched over during a play through and I am looking for suggestions on how to best make the switch and issues that others have had doing so. thanks!

Ask yourself... would you remove your AMD video card while your computer was still on to swap in an nVidia card?

Anytime there is a major overhaul of an existing overhaul.. more often than not, users of the original overhaul are screwed over and would have to start a new game if they want to use the newer version, because removing the old one would cause many problems otherwise..

Well but I am likely to give it a try anyway and then perhaps have to start a new game, we shall see. Would be nice to hear from someone else that had tried though.

Good luck doing that but its a bad idea skyre covers more things than perma you will loose out those changes when switching and most likely your save game will be destroyed. game will complain about missing too many things, somethings will stop working entirely, something will be glitched and bugged, there will be lots of crashes though i doubt you will be able to run the save game with perma and in the end most likely will start a new game.

Your game is going to be incredibly unstable and near unplayable. You might as well just start over, this is how overhauls work, sadly.

You can certainly try. You can even save time, and ask the author(who created both).

And he will in all likelihood say "support is not provided" because he knows better than to do something like this.

Indeed and his page states that he will not provide support.
