Deleted aranea while trying to fix something, and placed her back in the world (in the CK) now the black star quest won't start. anyone run into this problem before? there any way to reset an npc to defaults in the ck?

get tes5edit,
navigate to the cell you deleted her (?) from (under "worldspace" for exteriors, "cells" for interiors),
there'll be entries for both the aranea you deleted and the one you added (likely the original one under "persistent" and yours under "temporary"), right click -> remove these entries,
save,
done.
Amazing... Instant fix. so that is the power of tes5 edit! I have seen the light. Dude thank you.
Hmmm... i might as well mention.. in this mod I changed the navmesh in breezehome as well. little did I know that if you do that with hearthfire installed you get a CTD every time you enter breezehome.. is there a way to undo navmesh edits too?
yes, for me, it's a total essential for mod cleaning
sure, just do the same like with that aranea, navmeshes are in their cells under "temporary".
any that are marked all green can be deleted out anyway, these are "dirty edits" that are just marked as changed without any actual changes (that's for any object type, not only navmeshes)
green on yellow means changed but ok, red means trouble.
for navmeshes though, you'll have to reopen your mod in ck and resave once so it can fix navmesh info map
that you ctd btw likely means you _deleted_ said navmesh, don't, if you can, always modify the vanilla one instead (any neighbour/doored other navmeshes refer to the one that's inexistent cuz you del'd otherwise = not good)
