Do buff spells from the illusion tree like call to arms and courage work on animals? (Xbox)

Found my answer:
It seems courage and rally will work on animals but the combat improvements from call to arms will not affect animals. If anyone on PC could confirm this for me that would be great.
Can anyone think of a way on vanilla skyrim to improve the damage output of animals?
