So uh....what're you doing, honey?

Post » Fri Dec 19, 2014 11:32 am

So, yeah, I just recently got the Legendary Edition with all the DLCs and I have the Lakeview Manor in Falkreath and at some point, Ysolda has suddenly started walking backwards. It's not the end of the world to me, but when I see her doing it, it just kind of ruins the immersion of the scene. My daughter is fine and walks normal, but Ysolda is apparently stuck in Backwardsland. Can anyone help me fix this please?

Nevermind, I can't read. I don't think there's a way to fix it on console other than reloading a save from before the Bandit Attack quest.

Oh...that's not going to be possible. Oh well. I'm seldom ever actually home anyway and like I said, it's not a big deal, just stupid.

Thank for trying to help though. :) (I assume your edited post was you mentioning opening the console, so I appreciate you tried to help. I was hoping there was some way to fix this since I have no save since before then, I guess not.)

Yeah. There might be another way though. Some follower animation glitches can be fixed by attacking them until they kneel. Ysolda is tagged as essential, so you can't kill her, maybe it will work on her too? Normally I wouldn't advise domestic abuse, but in this case... :P

I saw this once before, but they eventually just stopped after not being in the same cell with them for awhile.

Rosveen's suggestion is a good one though. Forcing a different animation could reset the glitchy one.

Or you could roleplay that your spouse has a strange neurological disorder and that you and your daughter are pretending that it's fine, just fine and being careful not to mention it to her. Meanwhile, you roam the land searching for an Alchemist who hasn't died while picnicking or journaling out in the wilderness who can perhaps help you come up with a cure for this strange condition.

Well there is person in Toronto that has been walking backwards for years. He is trying to get in the Guinness Book of Records. Maybe she is trying to the Skyrim Edition of the Book of Records.

I think the only way to fix it is doing either of the suggestions stated earlier. I would try going to a different location for at least 10 days before returning back if that does not work try 30 days.
