Just finished downloading Notepad++ installer. I haven't even run it yet. Like I said, initial, setup. As I'm starting from scratch it would be nice to learn all the best practices tools as I go along. I run Windows 7 Ultimate on my desktop (this machine) and Windows 8.1 on my Surface Pro 2. My only exposure to scripting is PowerShell.

For people that use NP++ for Skyrim scripting, as a beginner:

1) What GUI configuration do you recommend I start with?

2) What plugins, if any, do you recommend?

3) Are there any "mods" on Nexus mod resources page, or elswhere, that you recommend, eg, Champollion a PEX Papyrus decompiler?

4) Are there any companion apps that you use during your scripting process that makes the workflow easier? Expecially free ones . I already have MS Office Pro 2013 ( yea OneNote! ) and Adobe CS6 Master Suite installed on both machines, if that helps any.

Any tips, tricks or helpful hints would be greatly appreciated.
