Good notebook to run skyrim with mods

Post » Wed Dec 24, 2014 11:44 pm

Hi, I used to play skyrim on ps3 but after a while I got bored with the game. Now, a few years later, I have decided to try skyrim again. I am looking for a new playthrough of the game, and I am really interested in roleplaying. What would be a good laptop (or specs) that could run skyrim well with a lot of mods that change the game mechanics. Am not interested in graphics mods or playing the game on ultra settings. Thanks!

I have had a Lenovo y400 for almost two years now and I am pretty happy with it. They don't make that model anymore, but they have several newer models http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/lenovo/y-series/?menu-id=y_series. At the time I was looking for a gaming laptop, the Lenovo brand seemes to be about the most cost effective for what you are getting and Lenovo is one of the largest companies in the world and I have not had any problems with my laptop or their customer service.

Whatever brand you buy, I'd recommend getting a dedicated GPU, rather than going with integrated graphics if you can afford it. Even if you don't plan on running graphics mods, having a dedicated GPU is going to make the game run smoother.
