Game directory cleanup utility?

I doubt any such thing exists, else I would have heard of it by now but I'll ask anyhow. Is there any sort of utility that will clean up your game installation? My installation is nearly two years old now and in that time I've installed and uninstalled countless mods that have undoubtedly resulted in tons of unused assets in my game directory .... mesh, texture, script files and the like.

The thought of rebuilding my game is quite intimidating, but I can't help but wonder how much slower my game loads with all the extra garbage clotting my game directories. Is there any sort of utility that can examine active mods and remove orphaned files from no longer used mods from my installation?

Well, trash your Skyrim folder and reinstall the game via Steam. It's the best way to have a really clean directory. ;)

Yeah, I know. I even backed up by original install folder before I installed the first mod to make such a process easier. It's the prospect of having to reacquire and install the hundred or so mods that I do still use that has me wishing for an alternative.
