So I'm trying to figure out how MS is charging me.

My card has been changed three times in the last 3 years, and somehow MS is still charging me 9.99 for Xbox Live(I can't find my live account on their site >_>). I know the card on my account is a really old one, long deactivated.

Oh yea, they are definitely getting the money because it's showing up in my bank statements.

It's been many years since I lost logged into XBL. You used to be able to cancel right from the console, but I see they've changed it and you gotta do it from the site.

I still don't know how they were updating my card info with each card I got, it's currently on the one that I just deactivated. That seems very fishy and I think I will not do business with them anymore.

Oh yay! instead of the cancellation process being simple, you go through [censored]!

Might want to talk to your bank about that. If memory serves correctly, Amazon has always kept up with the current expiration date on my cards as long as the card number itself remains the same.

Also, if they are still charging your card you most likely set up or allowed an auto-pay option. I never allow auto-pay for anything except my mortgage and my car insurance. Everything else I pay manually. No offense, but this is likely on you and Microsoft is just doing what you agreed to at some point in the past.

Yeah I have auto on. I don't know why I did that.

I'm on 3rd card now. They have the info for the 2nd one(the card I used to sign up was from the first one). The numbers are not the same between the three of them. They probably just contacted my bank, but I don't know why my bank wouldn't contact ME about it.

Anyway, I'm where I need to be, just need their servers to get back up so I can finish this.

Edit: All done.

I'd still suggest asking your bank about their policy regarding new cards to prevent any future issues. Always best to be aware just in case you inadvertently sign up for an auto pay option in the future that you didn't intend to.
