New Playthrough - Mage

Hello, I've just removed all of my savegames and I'm going to start over with a mage.

I'm a Morrowind and Oblivion long-time player. Even if magic was different in Morrowind and Oblivion, still i would NEVER get bored.

I loved Mysticism, i have no idea why the hell Bethesda deleted Mysticism, made kids in Skyrim and Alchemy a Stealth skill. But still, i love Skyrim, not as much as Morrowind or Oblivion, but i try to enjoy myself with Skyrim graphics, radiant quests, random encounters, shouts, etc...

But what lacks in Skyrim, Morrowind and Oblivion has. And viceversa. On Morrowind you are a nobody, same as on Oblivion. Well, not a nobody but you actually work to be somebody, not just slay a dragon and absorb it's power and suddendly I'm Skyrim's rescue. But overall they are 3 great games.

But for some reason, everytime i reach level 30-40, i start getting bored. The College has a very small questline, in one day you're an Apprentice, on the next you're the Arch-Mage. And staves? They all svck big ass.

And most of spells that are novice/adept, they become a waste of space on my spellbook.

And with enchanting at level 100? Most mages become a god.

I'm gonna start all over again, but i fear that i'll become bored again.

Although I'm on PC, still there isn't any mods that fix this.

So long story short, what the hell am I going to do on Skyrim to actually enjoy myself as a mage and not get bored real quickly?

Thanks everyone.
