Patrol Queston

Hi.

I've got a simple Patrol on an NPC but I'm seeing an odd behavior.

1) The NPC gets stuck at the patrol point. They only resume the patrol if the player talks to them.

- - Occasionally she moves to the next point.

- - - - Navmesh is checked, finalized, and works

- - - - Patrol Points are default patrol idles set to; 60 second duration, no additional patrol data, permanent, ignored by sandbox.

2) The NPC is going to the last patrol point first for some reason...

My Patrol is set up like the default patrol package with these two differences;

1) Using Near Reference, instead of LinkedRef

2) The package has scheduled time, instead of always being true

3) Has a condition. A quest variable must be set. Different NPCs are operating with this condition and working normally

NOTE

*) My NPC is in an interior and the first patrol point is in an exterior. After the player enters the building she loads, assess her packages, exits the building.... should be fine, right?

Assistance would be greatly appreciated.

That's not necessarily an issue. NPCs will go to the nearest patrol point, not the one at the beginning of the patrol package.


Is this a unique NPC, and not one that's spawned from a levelled list? And do you have "No Low Processing" unchecked? Levelled list characters, and ones that have that box checked can't move between areas unless the player is in the same cell. And once outside, her package will shut off until the PC exits as well.

She is actually going to the farthest point first.

"No Low Processing" You mean the No Low Level Processing tab in the top left of the NPC Traits tab, correct?

She is unique, though she does use data from another unique character. ( AI Data, Stats, Factions )

While I've got you on the line - could you please explain "Respawn" to me? I'm not sure it means what I think it means...

Does entering with a different time of day change whats happening?

So if you swapped how they are listed , might that change the order?

Im guessing respawn only refers to the 3 day global check/adjustment , available outside of actively controlling it with scripts/conditions.
