More Life-like weapons and armor.

*these should be in Fallout 4

Ok, we've all seen a gun or two in game and know what it is in real life. Like the .45 Auto pistol in Honest Hearts is basically a Colt 1911. Am I the only one who thinks Bethesda should contact gun/armory companies and get permission to put their guns in game?

Me, I own a Taurus .357 Revolver (not like the ingame one). I'd like to use it in the game, but not mods. How cool would it be to be shooting a Winchester Rifle?

My idea, put destroyed company buildings in game, and put schematics for guns in them. Take said schematic to a gun smith and say, "Here's a schematic for a .45-70 Govt Revolver, make it". I'm jus saying, life-like guns. We all know the gun "Sniper Rifle" is a sniper rifle, don't need to tell us. But what is it in real life.

Armor, like clothes we wear. I work at Papa John's, I would be surprised to find myself walking around Boston dressed like I just got off of work. Or something more, well more.

I would love to see some of the more modern firearms, but one thing to consider it is a divergent universe, that was the same as are own but split off. So they may have nod had the same weapons, but would have been interesting too see if the weapons designers would throw that into the game as well:D

When our country is just now using ship board energy weapons, they were already slowly replacing standard military units with energy weapons.

Yes but next game takes place in Boston, wouldn't it be great to use a Musket? Plus if ACTUAL Gun Manufacturers put ACTUAL guns they make in the game with their logo and what not in there, they could possibly make money off of it, you know, product placement. Just like in movies, but it would be cool to shoot a super mutant with a gun that's sitting in your dresser in your bedroom? How cool would that be, talk about puting yourself in the game.

Thinking out loud here, customizable guns. Color, grip, sights, you name it. Not just weapon mods, but names and color, all the good stuff. Make the gun yours, not one you got off a raider's corpse.

Just had a Nicolas Cage moment. I would die of joy if I could duel-wield twin gold-plated Desert Eagles.

Which would also mean paying those companies royalties for using their trademarks. Why would they do that if they can just make up their own weapons? It wouldn't make any economic sense for them.

No, it would be the other way around. Bethesda would have to pay them, just like they have to pay royalties for music etc. used in the game. The reason why you don't hear any Elvis songs in Freeside, even though there's an Elvis impersonator school there, is that the Presley estate wanted a ridiculous sum to allow the use of his music in the game. Bethesda refused to pay the fees required.

That may be true. But it would add to the realism of the game, I'd rather use a gun ingame from a company I know than a made up one, yah it's a game but it's a role play thing.
