Can someone explain what .TRI , .EGM , and .EGT Do please?

Making this skeleton as a race I've hit a little snag, I can set the models under Race but for whatever reason I can't get rid of one eye from it (I used blank nifs for mouth, tongue, teeth, etc.), it says eyes L/R but it seems the eye nifs are separate. The other problem is that I get an un-textured head in the head preview (well flaky, texture vanishes with position) and no head for the full view.

I'm guessing the Tri, Egm, and Egt files play a roll in this but I don't have a clue what or how to deal with them?

They're involved in facial geometry and texture morphing. EGM is involved in deforming the shape, EGT alters the textures, and TRIs are used for expression and phoneme morphing.

Thank you, info is a little hard to come by with this stuff.

Managed to fix the eye issue, I could make the change in FNVEdit but couldn't seem to find it in the GECK.

Edit...I came up with a dirty work around and made it so that the skeletons have an unplayable skeleton head with a very low DT and set to the head slot only.

When they die (again) you can pick the armour of them and they become naked skeletons.
