The quest in question comes after the first two quests for the Jemane brothers. The player is approached by Fathis Ules. Fathis Ules wishes to hire the player to retrieve an object that's in the possession of the Redguard Valley ogres.

I've been trying to find out on which levels does the reward amount change. I've been looking around on the web and I had no luck, so I was hoping someone here could help me out. The only thing that I found out so far is that the reward can range from between 700-3000 septims. However I want to know how does it scale (which level = gold amount ). I also would like to ask if anyone would know when will the reward amount be altered? Before I initiate the quest? Before I turn in the blade?

I have to wonder why you're even considering selling that sword to Fathis Ules. Either the sword itself, or the reward you get for giving it to its rightful owner, would be worth far more than the gold.
