Do you ever buy the lottery?

Post » Wed Jan 07, 2015 8:46 pm

Well if you live in the US. Like any lottery.

I never really buy the lottery but last week and this week i went for it and bought the mega millions. Today i bought 2 tickets for the mega millions.

Also why do they say play the lottery if your not really 'playing' it's just numbers being shown. Right?'

Also what do you think? Is it better to play or to not play? Does it really increase chances of winning? Do you think it has to do with Luck? Do you think it's a waste of money? (a dollar) ..

For myself? Nah, the odds of winning are so far against me I don't see the point of waisting my money. Now l have bought scratch-off tickets to leave in a tip jar before....

Bought a couple of times, never got money out of it. Girlfriend keeps saying "you can't win if you don't play", but aside from insanely small chances of winning, I'm also kind of convinced that these things are set up. :P I can't say I never won anything though. I won a free meal at an asian restaurant, and $185 worth diesel jeans. :P

Nah. Any money I can spend on tickets, I can put toward savings. Plus, Imo, Money doesn't equal happiness. Remember folks, Mo Money Mo problems. :P

Over the last twenty years or so I can count on one hand and sill have fingers left over, how many times I've played the lottery. I've never really saw the point of it. The odds are so stacked against you, it isn't worth the effort.

Yeah, yeah, sure, I know how it goes. You can't win if you don't play, but I've got better things to do with my money than blow it on something I won't get anything out of.

My parents played the Sick Kids Lottery once or twice. The money goes toward a good cause and supposedly you have the best chances of winning something of any Ontario lottery. It does cost 100$ per ticket though.

I'll play every now and then, highest I've won was $20.00.
