issue installing better cities.

Post » Sat Jan 10, 2015 5:18 am

Im using Oblivion Mod Manager. I am following the steps for installation to a t.

3 files (Core, resources primary and resources update), have to create an OMOD for each. I am fine with the core, that OMOD is fine. But when hitting create OMOD on the 2 resource files I get the fllowing error:

The image file appears to be corrupt

Then it asks if I want to import omod data. I hit yes, then get this error

An unhandled exception occurred. Extra information should have been saved to 'obmm_crashdump.txt' in Oblivions directory. Unable to read beyond the end of the stream.

??? I have many other mods installed via obmm and i have dld each file 3 times and they all say its corrupt.

Make sure what you are installing is the latest version of Better Cities and also make sure your game is outside of default C:\programs. If these are all true you might want to post this in the Better Cities thread here in this forum so Vorians can take a look at the issue.

Edit: Or if you prefer there's an alternative mirror that you can use to download the file although it would require an account registration: http://www.theassimilationlab.com/forums/files/file/952-better-cities/

Edit: Looks like Sergio nailed it.

Check the faq: http://www.darkcreations.org/better-cities/wiki/FAQ

Point 3

I don't know why Vorians is still supporting OBMM or omod in general. If I was him I would have lost the patience years ago :P. Kudos to him :)
