Unpacking BSAs

Post » Tue May 18, 2010 1:00 am

I can't seem to figure out how to unpack the morrowind/tribunal/bloodmoon BSA files so that I have access to the meshes and textures. I downloaded BSA Browser and tried to unpack them, but it only seemed to give me all the meshes and none of the textures for anything... Now if I try to use it again it just says it was unable to run BSAPack.exe.

I'm used to modding Oblivion, so I figured unpacking Morrowind BSA files would be similar to doing it for Oblivion. I guess not though.

So, what have I done wrong? Did I forget something simple? Should I be doing something else to get them?

PS: I only have my original Morrowind disc left. I seemed to have misplaced my Tribunal and Bloodmoon discs years ago. So I'd hate to have to reinstall in case I screwed something up.

BSA Unpacker.
Open > Morrowind.bsa/Tribunal.bsa/or Bloodmoon.bsa
Extract All > Select location you want to extract to (do not extract to the Morrowind folder! Stupid stuff could happen, like overwriting your mods)

Is that process not working?

BSA Browser isn't too well put together. Use http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=12189, requires .NET, it works.
