How many copies of Oblivion do you have?

Post » Sun Jan 11, 2015 9:17 pm

I have the original release, the GotY edition, the 5th Anniversary, two Collector′s Editions (PC and 360) and finally I have the Anthology copy.

So that′s six copies in total, one of which I can′t use since I don′t have an Xbox 360! By golly, have I poured moneyz into Beth′s pockets :P

So how many copies do you have of Oblivion, and which editions? :)

Wow! I only have two. One is the original pc collector's edition (rated teen) and Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine in separate boxes. The other is the Xbox 360 Game of the Year version.

I have 5. Ps3 GOTY edition, ps3 5th year anniversary. XBOX 360 GOTY Edition. Anthology edition. Steam deluxe edition.

Not to mention four Morrowinds, Three Skyrims, two Fallout 3's and two Fallout NV's. Oh, and a copy of Arx Fatalis. Bethesda has gotten it's share from me too.

I've purchased five copies over the years:

1. A copy for myself on release day, 2006. First edition.
2. A Christmas present for my daughter, 2006. First edition.
3. A third copy for myself when my first edition disc was broken by a cat who mistook a pile of hardback books for cat exercise equipment and tried to climb to the top of the pile, which caused the pile of books to topple over directly onto the jewel case containing my play disc, 2009. GOTY Edition.
4. A fourth copy for my best friend, 2010. GOTY Edition.
5. And, finally, a fifth copy for myself on Steam, in case any more cats get the bright idea to try out for The Flying Wallendas, 2012. GOTY Edition.

Of those five I still have three in my possession. Plus Brash bought a first edition the day the game came out. So that would make four total: two first editions (one unplayable), one GOTY disc, one GOTY digital.

I no longer have my original copy from 2006.

I have the game of the year version for Xbox 360, it includes knights of the nine and Shivering isles.

I also have it for Steam. I have 2 copies of the elder scrolls anthology, both of them have the game included.

Two. First my younger brother bought The Game Of The Year Edition for PS3 back in 2008 or so. This was the first I had ever heard of TES. I remember looking it up on the internet to find out what this game was about that my brother was playing. That was how I first found http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Oblivion, an invaluable source of information. Though even with its help I still managed to cripple my first few attempts at a character do to not understanding at all how the character leveling system worked. My Brother lost interest in the game rather quickly, but I was hooked.

The second was the Deluxe Game Of The Year Edition on Steam in November 2012 which I bought for myself so that I could use the mods I'd seen on https://www.youtube.com/user/Teamudf/videos's youtube channel. His videos were my first introduction to mods for a Bethesda game. Before then I'd only used mods for CIV3.

None. I upgraded from my Xbox 360 to the Xbox One at the beginning of December last year and in the process sold my 360 console and about 30 games including Oblivion. The copy I had was just the original standard edition.
