Type and Speak Software (if any)

Post » Tue Jan 13, 2015 12:07 am

Hello everyone a simple question here, does anyone know of any software that you type words or sentences and the PC speaks it back and you can change the voice or voices. I'm doing a LOT of stop motion animation projects and I could some digital voice help cause let's face it no ones going to do {beep} for free and my vocal tone is to low to be useful...oh I can voice different male voices perfectly but female----forget it.

If you want a voice recognition software, that's one of the best around.

He wants voice-synthetization/text-to-speech software.

Most text-to-speech is still distinctly robotic sounding.

Off the topic of software:

Have you considered silent-movie style dialogue cards as an alternative? No voices needed at all.

Oh yeah--I've done that when I did stop motion animes in the past before I went to using action figures. I stopped the anime version cause By The Nine it would take months to make.

Some good news: I've found a text-n-speak type program, it's not perfect but it's workable, it's called Natural Reader and it's not perfect---but like I said it's workable-----sadly it's the only one that does what I need it to and has a cap on it unless you upgrade which isn't bad and probably worth it but this is the best I can do unless I decide to do a silent film----which is looking like an option  .
