The Ebonheart pact.

Post » Tue Jan 13, 2015 4:02 am

Ive been watching alot of lore stories form shody cast, and i just figured out that there are like 3 factions in tamriel that consists of 3 different races. the pact that i will be talking about is the ebonheart pact. the three races of this pact is dark elf, argonian, and nord. the reason wht this pact was made was because he acaviri slave master's were jackin up their life. know when i go to windhelm i see only three races there, dark elves, argonians, and nords, and thats the thing that pisses me off that the nords treat them like carp. my character is a nord and i hate to see people treating them like crap. also isnt the pact still in tact( no rhyme intended). Its like all the nords forget about the pact, anyway i would like to see your input on the matter, thanks.

Heres, shody cast: https://www.youtube.com/user/ShoddyCast

The Ebonheart Pacct, just like all of TESO, never happened.

Just forget about that whole mess of a game.

I'm not sure how to come at this in-depth, so I'll just point out a couple of the obvious things:

At this point, it should be common knowledge that most nords are racist brutes.

I believe TESO is constructed out of the TES Universe, but has no historical ties with the actual series. In any case, before TESO was announced, I had no idea about the Ebonheart Pact or any of that jazz even existing.

Even if the Pacts did once exist, those events were long, long, LONG before the time period Skyrim is set in. Expecting those loyalties too last that long in a chaotic universe such as this is foolish.

I'm kind of dumbstruck right now.

These factions exist in Elderscrollls Online, which takes place ~1500 years before Skyrim.

(or even longer, I don't recall the exact dates)

To say nothing of the fact that the constituents of the pact make absolutely no sense beyond geographically. The Nords and Dunmer hate each other bitterly and the Dunmer do not even acknowledge that the Argonians are sentient; you don't make an alliance with animals.

The Alliances all dissolved pretty quickly (I assume once their so called 'leaders' were knocked off) to the point that their historicial significance is kapoot, and is essentially a footnote on the insanity that was the Interregnum. Its worth noting that a lot of people within the alliance hated the notion of allying with one another with a passion, so there's that.

Ebonheart pack's an alliance of necessity, not because they like eachother. And it's over a millennia before the mainline TES games, so a lot of that would've been forgotten anyway.

This is a highly informative post that completely answers the OP's question. :I

Except for ESO game, i haven't found any clue in Skyrim about Ebonhearth Pact or Daggerfall Covvenant (i read a lot of books). Also Aldmeri Dominion we see in Skyrim's lore it's not the same we see in ESO game. So we could say ESO lore is independent from TES lore.
