Purple Windows In Bravil?

Post » Tue Jan 13, 2015 3:09 am

Hello and thanks for reading.

I've got a seemingly minor issue, but as I'm no Oblivion modding expert, I'm not sure how best to fix it. Overall, my modded game is error-free; however, some of the windows in a few buildings in Bravil are purple. I understand this to mean I'm missing one or several textures. How would I go about determining which ones and replacing them?

Thanks,

ELB

First thing, did you apply the Archive Invalidation to the mod mix? If you did, did you toggle it on and off after adding the mods that add textures?

Are you sure your load order is right if the above is sorted?

Finally, did you reinstall, in the proper order, the mods that change the windows. Note, the install order may not be be the load order that you want to use.

Sounds like that some mods doesn't load its resources from a BSA correctly in-game.

Before we can assist you need to http://static-1.nexusmods.com/15/mods/101/images/35230-1-1343151453.png (copy the loadorder via the Copy Text button in the Mod Checker window), preferably from Wrye Bash or from BOSS if you don't use Wrye Bash.

As archive invalidation method, use "BSA Redirection".

It's the best (and definitive) method, as it doesn't touch the files, but directly bypass the archive invalidation bug, so you don't need to invalidate your textures anymore.

Once set, you don't need to update or toggle it like the other ones. Just forget about the bug for the rest of your life!
