Let me start by saying FO2 and FO3 are my least favorite of the series. More specifically I dislike them

That being said I want to power through a mostly-canon play through of FO2 primarily to say that I did it but also to confirm my smug presumptions of FO1's utter superiority

Before I start planning my Chosen One theres one thing I don't get with FO2: Am I correct that one must *always* confront, fight, and defeat Horrigan to complete the game? No matter your build or playstyle, there's a boss-fight??

Yes, Horrigan must be dealt with. But you don't need to fire a single shot yourself if you know what you're doing.

If you have high speech and high science you can recalibrate the turrets to shoot Horrigan and persuade the Enclave squad just outside to help in escaping the place.
