Let's say Capcom decides to do a RE spin off, based in Raccoon City but with all classic mechanics like Outbreak nowadays, or SquareEnix decides to do a FF with the classic mechanics and so on, would you guys accept it? I personally wouldn't since it would delay new games and experiences in the main series. I sure would like it, but would still not agreeing with it.

as long as its a good game that I would enjoy then sure, I'd like it..

I am always up for a fun engaging game, spin-off or not..

It depends on how well a job they did with it. For example, I'd be over joyed if someone made an ultima 7 type game with the over head view and open gameplay, but I would hate having to draw a map on graph paper again. I don't have the patience for that anymore.

In terms of RE, I know nothing about the series.

In terms of non-canon spin offs, it depends on how it's handled. Yakuza: Dead Souls? Excellent spin off of the series.
