Zero 1.1[1]{1}
The count down continued towards the start of the coming cataclysm. The 13Genius13 had proven that it was coming and they had been able to do so for they had come from a far distant probable future. In exchange for certain 'privileges', they had given the Project Alliance vital information, impressive new technologies, upgrades to old technologies and other 'gifts'.
Not all of the factions, in the Project Alliance, truly trusted the eccentric, often disturbing, 13Genius13. That was why Lieutenant Chun was leading a power armoured platoon through the depths of a giant timespaceship. In theory it, like two identical others, was about to take many people to safety in the future centuries beyond the great war to come.
Elite, experienced, soldiers in elite assault power armour, the platoon hacked their way through advanced security networks, avoided power armoured guards and robots and then they were at their intended destination.
The 13 of them stood mostly on guard while the two hackers did their work being cybernetics geniuses in their own right. They worked at one of the less common, more important terminals in the vast ship. In theory it was a heavily secured smart-terminal but, with difficulty, the security was gone. The hackers slotted a high compression datachip and began the uploading of a series of trojans, worms and viruses plus three virtual drones. It was only seconds before alarms began to chime through out the great ship.
The platoon began a rapid retreat from the spot, making their way through utility-tunnels, secondary corridors and even making their own passages if they had to do so. What the plan really was about wash to hopefully flush the 'truth' out into the open. That was the truth of what the 13Genius13 was really up to.
It did not take long and then there were appearing alien zetans, in exotic energy armour, zetamans in odd power armour, naked abominations (abomimans) and fighting dronebots. There seemed to be hundreds of them, coming out of whole secret areas that was a main reason why certain humans had become suspicious in the first place, that and a vague warning from a 'mysterious ally'. When human power armoured soldiers, cyborgs and robots began to invade the great ship, the battle truly began. It quickly became a kind of 'urban warfare' of running battles, skirmishes, attacks and counter attacks. It ended when the last of the aliens, alien hybrids and alien robots were destroyed.
Lieutenant Chun, and her people, were slain by an overwhelming alien ambush but they were to be remembered, and honoured highly, in times to come.
