I was Googling around about old resorts in the Catskill Mountains in upstate NY and came across mention of the Maurice Stokes charity game. I recall reading some newspaper articles about it years ago, so I searched a bit more and found this excellent piece at ESPN. It's a bit long and can be tough to deal with, but it's a helluva story.
