My gripe with this game

Post » Fri Jan 23, 2015 10:33 pm

Ok I want to start by saying that resident evil 4 is one of the best games I have ever played closely followed by resident evil 2.
When I heard this game was coming out I was pumped and I got it for Christmas.

I'm currently stuck on a unplayable Unenjoyable fight with Laura ( I call her the red [censored]) and I simply can't progress any further

I am playing on the easiest difficulty and her teleporting antics combined with her one hit kill have made me delete the game from my xbox one hard drive.

This fight is complete bs and you have ruined a game I enjoyed up until the Laura fight in chapter 10.

I was about to purchase the season pass for this game and I am glad I didn't as the unplayable Unenjoyable game breaking Laura fight has had me do a complete 180 on this game

Thanks for ruining my experience playing this game I guess resident evil 1 remaster will consume my time now

Maybe watch some YouTube videos on how to get past her. It's not really that difficult if you know what to do. I think I only died once at that part.
Good luck.

It's is impossible

I'm really upset at the developers for including this unplayable impossible section into the game

People have gotten past it, so it's not impossible.

It is clearly not impossible, because many people have finished the entire game.

The game can even be finished on the most hardest difficulty.

We'll it's [censored] then!!!!

If I wanted a nerve racking challenge that should push me to the edge I would have bought dark souls a game built on its difficulty

Laura is really cheep and I just can't get past her

I have deleted the game from my hard drive so there is no way to play it again

[censored] you developers for ruining my game with that impossible Laura fight

I don't think they read very single comment on this board, so you're probably wasting your time by childishly yelling out insults.

Yes, The Evil Within uses STEAM Cloud, so long as you didn't disable it... it will maintain your save games.

And, just so I'm right... you're upset because the game is difficult? That's a good thing.

Games have been far too easy in recent years. Specially in the "horror" genre. The Evil Within was refreshing with it's difficulty, but at no point while did I ever think it was unfair. Every single encounter is perfectly manageable.

Well, apparently you can't
If you're struggling, stop playing for few hours or try again the next day. Sometimes a fresh perspective is all you need.

As I mentioned before, watch some YouTube videos to learn how to get past her, since you seem to think "it's impossible."

Maybe you're just missing something that will help, because it's quite simple if you know what to do. (the game is a bit too easy on Easy)

But the game only gets harder later on. This is a survival horror game, it is supposed to drive you crazy and kill you over and over. But if you don't like playing it, then why not play something that you do enjoy?

Hey i enjoyed the game up until Laura in chapter 10

It was fun, even a bit too easy.

But now that i have died against Laura 124 times and have a broken controller my interest in this game is fading

i have read 10 walkthoughs and watched 5 youtube videos and she still cant be beat

i cant get away from her

i dont have enough time to shoot the pipes before she one hit kills me

Yep.

It works surprisingly well (oh, not that surprising of course).

I got to parts where I thought I could never get past. Then the next day I'd make a plan and seemingly out of nowhere, I'd get through that part like it was a piece of cake. A relaxed brain does wonders.

As pluto says, leave the game alone for a while. I find that when I get to a part of a game that's driving me nuts the best thing to do is leave it alone for a week or so until the frustration with it subsides. I then go back to it with sheer determination and an alternative strategy, this usually works for me and provides great satisfaction once I finally beat the problem. Breaking controllers etc is a waste of time as well as expensive, so take some good advice and simply leave the game alone for a while until you're kind of hungry to play it again.
