Very high RAM usage?

I am suffering from a lot of crashes in my current save (Skyrim just shutting down, no error message or anything). I have detected the following:

- Starting Skyrim and loading my save game (with about 30 hours of gameplay and filesize of 13MB) causes skyrim to allocate 2.2GB of RAM;

- After playing for a while some textures fail to load.

I suspect my game is just using too much RAM and eventually crashes. I now have several questions:

- Is such a high RAM usage normal? Even considering the mods I use (see below in link);

- If it is normal, what can I do to allow Skyrim to use more RAM. I already got the memory tweaks of SKSE.

My SKSE.ini looks like this:

[Display]iTintTextureResolution=2048[General]ClearInvalidRegistrations=1[Memory]DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=1024ScrapHeapSizeMB=256

You can find my mods and load order at http://www.modwat.ch/Mathyn

What OS are you using? How much RAM do you have? Are you just using the high res texture packs or are you using other texture mods? Using ENB series?

Might be helpful to post a dxdiag of your system. The crashing can be from a number of reasons. It can be difficult to pinpoint. 2.2GB of RAM isn't that high for a modded Skyrim. Vanilla Skyrim can get just under 2 GB.
