I have tried reinstalling the game with no luck. I even turned off all mods. The game looks fine for a while, but then I see weird colored shapes. For example. I started a new game due to my level 58 game not loading. I got to Bleak Falls Barrow and was walking along and saw a red square on the floor. Later I saw a red line. I moved on into the room before you walk down the stream behind a gate and behind and under the chest was red. It appears that the red was something missing under the rubble behind the chest. In front of the door where you use the claw was a red and pink thing with a white ! in the middle. In the room with the Word of Power wall the steps had the support missing. Replaced by the red/pink and white !. The floor in front of the wall was nothing but those images. you step there and fall down into another place. This is highly annoying.

Texture/mesh problem. Impossible to say what. They have to be installed properly.

When you reinstall the game you have to delete the SKyrim directory manuallly. Then reinstall the game.

You definitely have missing meshes in your installation - that's what those red boxes with the exclamation marks are warning you about. Follow the instructions for a complete clean reinstall provided at the link above.

Did the delete thing. Now reinstalling. I assume I will have to download my mods again. Lost a level 58 game. 58 is high considering I work all the time.

Missing textures come out as flat colors, usually pink or purple. A red exclamation marks points that probably the entire object missing - textures, mesh, and all.

Usually missing textures and models like this mean you're missing content. Have you installed your mods (or a particular mode) the right way ???

Υou should see at the authors mod download page, the exact installation procedure, for every mod you install.

You don't want to play a mod without testing it first. You install the mod, test it first, and if you like it, you keep it and keep playing.

If not, you uninstall it and revert to the backup save you should have created prior to installing.

Installing, playing, then uninstalling on the same save is a big NO GO for most mods. Once a mod is in, it's in your save for good. Uninstalling simply removes the files, not the data. !!!
