Is becoming a vampire lord a waste of time?

As the vampire lord you can peform and battle in a newer way.. But is it really worth it?
I've noticed that from the time I've become a vampire things started to change rapidly. Via health, magic, and stamina. It wasn't exactly a problem for me, for I knew that becoming a vampire would mean certain tasks were limited, (such as health regeneration). What I didn't understand about the whole vampire package is the vampire lord. What is the point of it?
*Now, I'm not saying I don't like being a vampire. I actually like being the vampire itself. It has quite a few benefits to it.*
With that being said, is the vampire lord worth it? If so, what can it help with? So far I've found it easier to just a battle in my original vampire form, rather than the vampire lord.

depends entirely on your character..

a Vamp Lord has all the same benefits and weaknesses a normal Vamp would have, only with a bunch of extra Benefits (those that are present when in Vamp Lord form)...

Gotta say though, I love taking Vamp Lord form and Flying over water rather than Swimming...

I also have to agree on that one. I also like that you cover 4x as much ground flying while using your stamina rather than running in your regular vampire form.

It completely depends on how you like to play the game, if you play on legendary difficulty and have invested into crafting powerful gear, the vampire lord is completely useless. The problem with it is that it doesn't have a way to scale up to the damage needed in higher levels/difficulties.
