Kill Scene Replays

Post » Sat Jan 31, 2015 5:50 am

Greetings.

Never did the test but I'll just throw this question out here.

Am I more likely to get kill replays in third person view or first person view?

I play first person exclusively and get some really kick ass replays. But they

are far and few between. I WANT MORE! It's so awesome! Sometimes I just

sit here in amazement and yell things out when it does happen. Sick.

Any tips on getting them all the time. I'd like recording them too. -oldplayer

The chances are pretty much the same, unless you use a mod to change it. I actually prefer the third-person kill cams, a lot of the first-person ones are badass, but you see your character doing things you can't see them do in first-person. Like the one-handed decapitation move where you do this spin move to lop off the person's head.

Are you on PC? Like said, there are great mods that will increase the chance for kill-cams. I like to play with 100% kill-cam chance for the last enemy standing.

I currently use this:

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/56980/?

But it requires SKSE and SkyUI to work.

This is another popular one:

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/10906/?

There should be an older version of the mod that doesn't require any other mods.

With these mods you can also control if you want so see the animations in 1st or 3rd person. I also prefer playing in 1st person but forcing the kill-moves in 3rd person.

Yup like Birchman says if you've got Skyrim on PC get one of the mods listed above. Not only can you increase the kill move chance, you can also tweak around with the settings to increase decapitation chance, choose between 1st and 3rd person kill cam, etc. The mods also add new kill moves I believe... if you're on console though, 1st and 3rd person view have the same chance to trigger a kill move, so stick with the perspective you prefer.
