What happens if after retrieving one of the golden quest items you want to keep it for display? Can you get more quests? Could you end up with a row of golden cups for your mantel?

If you don't turn it onto the person who gave you the job it doesn't count as a completed quest. And if it's not completed you can't get ay new jobs from them. So you won't be able to keep the golden items.
