Skyrim is great, what next?

Hello, I have enjoyed Skyrim for many many hours. Sadly, I've squeezed all of the new-juice out of it and can't get past a staleness. I really wish I could forget all I know about the game and start again, it was such a good time.

I am wondering which game I should play next. What I liked about Skyrim most was how the combat and the RPG aspects tied in together. Though, I liked the combat more than the role-playing.

I come from a FPS gaming background mainly, but I loved Borderlands 2 and Skyrim. Those were my first RPG's.

I have looked at Oblivion and Morrowind hoping to find more goodness, but the combat system seems too basic, going by what I saw on some youtube videos.

I have gone through many top ten/twenty game lists hoping to find something, but haven't been grabbed by anything I've seen. I tried a little bit of Fallout, but that whole nuclear apocalypse storyline was not for me.

Any advice on games I should try? I'd appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks.

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen has some of the funnest combat in an open world RPG. And the game is huge.
The new Dragon's Age game is also very good, although not very "Skyrim-like" combat.

Have you played FarCry 3 or 4?
That seems like something you might really enjoy.

Oblivion and Skyrim have very similar combat.
Morrowind's combat is anything but basic. It's the most complex of the three because it relies on many more factors based on Character skill, not Player skill. As loosely outlined http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Differences_Between_Morrowind,_Oblivion,_and_Skyrim#Combat. (and it has Spears!! )

Since you like Skyrim, both are definitely worth trying out.

If you like shooters and are okay with a sci-fi setting, maybe look into Mass Effect. The combat of the first game is a bit wonky but it improves greatly in ME2 and ME3. The combat is so enjoyable you'll think you're just playing a TPS.
