Follower can learn new spells but not equip the ones I want?

So basically, I've created a clone of my player with a dragon priest class so things are going quite awesome. The only thing I can't seem to figure is the clone to equip the spell I want (Yes the clone has enough magicka and high enough level). The spells I gave to the clone can pretty much execute it, but when it comes to fighting, the clone pretty much does that one spell which is not suitable for enemies 100% as it is quite short ranged. So I decided to click on the clone, and type "equipspell (Spell ID)", which, unsurprisingly, does not work due to "missing parameter casting source". So do I have to remove the spell or is there some alternate way? Also, to add a bit of flavour, is it possible for the spells casted by the clone to be random?

If you want to edit your clone, you need to do so in the editor, not the console. Some of those commands are session specific, some are global, some are specific in they work on certain things and not others.
