Salmon fished out?

Post » Tue Feb 17, 2015 9:52 am

So where'd the salmon go? All the usual rapids near Windhelm, Whiterun and Riverwood haven't had any salmon for months and months. Is there an actual spawning season in the game? My current play through is in it's 16th month or so; an actual spawning season should have rolled around again by now. The salmon don't get fished out, do they? That seems hard to believe...

Got an alchemist who needs to bag some roe.

Thanks!

Resource Nodes have a Respawn Timer, not sure what it is, but in earlier games it could be as long as 30 game days before the Node respawned. I don't know if the Salmon have that length of timer on them, but it makes sense they have some kind of timer.

There's a bug in the game engine that prevents a lot of the harvestable plants from respawning like they should. I don't know if the salmon are affected by the same bug, but it makes sense that they would be, and the butter churns in the Hearthfire home kitchen wings are affected by it.

For PC players there's a mod that will fix this (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/31268/?).

Awwww  I must have stumbled onto this bug during the current play through. They are simply not responding; I'm on Xbox so no mod fixes for me. Thanks for your help.
