I'm having an issue where I'm not absorbing dragon souls after I kill them. It happened first with the very first dragon you kill outside Whiterun and I had to force the next stage of the main quest in order to progress and have people accept that I killed it.

The same thing happened with the second dragon I killed. I can loot it and it just lies there, but it doesn't "burn" like it's supposed to and I don't get the soul. It's never happened to me before even with over 200 mods installed. This is a fresh install and I have about 50 mods on it, none of which impact dragons.

Has anyone ever had this issue or have any clues as to what may be causing it?

What about other creature drops? I know Harvest Overhaul has a Creature Overhaul feature that lets you harvest material from Dragons - even an option for Corporeal Dragons so you can harvest meat, etc off of them. It's possible such a mod is affecting how the Dragons are classified, thus resulting in no soul absorption. Also, do you have any mods that impact player creation in any way? I know there are mods that make it so you are not, in fact, the Dragonborn.
