The Things You do to Keep Yourself Awake in Class

Post » Tue Feb 24, 2015 8:38 pm

I remember always struggling to keep myself awake in class due to going bed late or just being bored to death. So to combat this feeling of just putting my head down and thinking "forget the teacher I'm sleeping!" I always shake my leg back and forth, chew gum like crazy, get up and go to the bathroom. and if the sleepiness is really bad I do a mini workout outside of class.

What level are you in school, college or primary education? In college, there's little reason to be so bored in classes unless you're fulfilling your school's mandatory education requirements. Once you start taking courses for your major, the classes should be more interesting.

I would actually sleep in my history class and somehow my subconscious mind would retain the teachers lectures. I guess it was his voice? Anywho, he couldnt believe that I slept 90% of the time in his class and was passing with an A. He actually asked if I was cheating :P .

I just went to sleep.

Unfortunately I drool a lot in my sleep, so it was pretty bad.

In high school, I didn't do anything to keep myself awake. I just slept. :disguise:

In college however, I'm actually very awake as I absorb as much information as possible.

Right now I'm in college, but I don't sleep anymore because like you said college is interesting. But those things I listed of how I stay awake refers back to my early days in high school.
