Im guessing many people have brought up the topic of making FO:3 for windows 7 & 8. Not to sound like another beggar, but I sincerely think that if Bethesda made a patch/update to FO:3 or make a new FO:3 for W7 & W8, that would make a lot of people happy. I know it may sound like a lot of work but I think if they did this it would bring the world of FO:3 to people that right now can't access it. Plus it would help avoid the problems of unexpecting people (such as myself) from buying the game that we cannot play due to our OS. I just wish (to any Bethesda Employee that reads this) that you could do something like what Ive stated above. As a very big fan of Fallout: New Vegas, I really want to play FO:3, but sadly I can't. And to those that read this statement, please help me bring some little light to situation.

It works fine on my x64 7 Ultimate, well, after applying the multi-core fix (change bUseThreadedAI to 1, and add iNumHWThreads=2 below it in Fallout.ini). What's the problem in your game?

Why should they make a patch when it runs perfectly fine with those systems? As ToJKa mentions, you just need to take a few extra steps. I'm using it on Window 7 64 bit and it's just as stable as it was with XP. Which isn't necessarily saying much but I can usually get a few hours of game time before it crashes. Sometimes a lot more. That's acceptable.

Has any developer ever patched a game for support on an OS that came out long after the games release?

I can't think of one.

Not counting MMOs or remasters here.
