what a great tip from the developers!

Jesus my temper is about to run out with Bethesda & Obsidian....

I've now owned this game for 4 days and played a total of 8 hours, i've even taken two days off from work because I wanted to play Fallout! I was a huge fan of FO3 and knew this game was just as good, but the simple fact that this game is so frikking bugged and glitched makes it an sad experience imo.

The official sollution for the corrupt savegame data bug, which I got after completing "Come fly with me" is :

Q: My save game is corrupted after a game crash
A: We recommend you roll back to an earlier save prior to experiencing the crash.

GUESS WHAT !? The last, hmm all games that i have played did not need seccondary saves because theese games worked! The autosave is just like a cruise control and an awesome feature, so why should I manually save each 10 mins because my data MIGTH (99% chance that it will) get corrupted???

And furthermore there does not seem to be any contact from the brilliant heads of the employes or forum watchers that can say, "dont worry the patch is out in 2 or 3 days"

I know that 8 hours of gameplay is'nt that much, but the simple fact is: I dont want to go through all the [censored] i've just completed and save a trillion times to suddenly risk getting DLC savegame crappy bug again.. If I did that, then I know I would truly flip out!

In my honest oppinion, we need some serious refunds or freebies in the future, if we are to keep playing theese moneymaker games (games that makes them money and us look stupid because we buy em)

it really seems like these bugs and glitches are completely random and different for everyone. I bought the game the day it came out and in 60 hours of game play i have run into a grand total of 2 freezes and one bug on the monorail thats it. No freezing at the lucky 38 no DLC glitch nothing.

While it does svck....We (puter people) tend to bash on people for not backing up their files and laugh a fair amount when their drive tanks or data corrupts and they say they were just about to back everything up. Yes in a perfect work these things wouldn't happen...but you really should not rely solely on an autosave. Problems do tend to occur. So far all has been well for me, but that hasn't stopped me from making a few multiple saves. It doesn't take much time and isn't required every ten minutes. If you do need to revert back that often, I am of the thinking something else is wrong with the install.

I personally lost forty save files to this "DLC" corruption bug, so, making multiple saves wasn't the answer either.

I also lost a good number of saves, including my first run and second. Backing it up to a memory card did not work, and every other game and its files work fine. As a fellow "puter gamer" I can say the normal prevention methods have not worked.

I would recommend waiting until a patch is released until starting again. It is true that some people have been very lucky and haven't gotten any problems or their problems have been minimal. Sadly to say though is that way too many people have been having problems. My only fix is this: http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1128690-your-corrupt-files/
I warn you though that this does not work for everyone but it's worth a shot. I feel your pain because I'm one of the unlucky ones and I wish you luck in the future.

I love how quick people are to jump in and say you shouldn't rely on "auto save" and "true gamers know to save all the time". Shut up with all that B.S. I bought the game with my hard earned money I can save or play how I want to, so can everyone else. I see your point with what your saying but, it is less to do with gaming knowledge and more with they pushed a game out that should not be pushed out so quickly. I should not have to save every five mins (which is how bad mine has got) I payed the money I want a decent playable game! By jumping in and telling people what they should do, your just passing the buck off of the real culprit which is the developer. I loved fallout 3 and saved allot more than the auto save and still do but, this is getting ridiculous. I have never played a game this buggy and am thinking about returning mine today since they will not give us a update.

Lets keep the focus on where it needs to be. We have a legitimate complaint that has nothing to do with saving thats a moot point. Leave the blame where it belongs, and stop trying to tell people they are doing something wrong.

I agree, I spent my money on this, I have been in support of Bethesda for a long time, don't make me dig out my Atari and grab Gridiron. If I were to give some lame-o slack ass answer to someone at work, I'd be fired. I Just want to play the damn game. Currently any of my saves, which I literally set a damned egg timer *on my phone* to go off and have me save, but still game is completely f***ed, I can't use any companions what so ever, the strip is shut down completely. This is what I would call a deal breaker, this is the gaming equivalent of herpes or herpeganasyfalaids. I feel all but canned like a dumpster baby by the powers that be, I really looked forward to this, I to took some time off work so I could play this without interuption. This is your craft take some pride, fix it, I don't care how, but do it. Make a fix so I can use any of my saves or as consolation for all my lost progress come out with a DLC with a bunch of cool stuff for all the damn hassle this is causing. I shouldn't have to detract my my enjoyment of the game and save every 3 seconds or do that BS where you have to go back. I don't care how I sound at this point, this is the 2nd game of yours with this issue. You have had since Fallout 3 to figure this out, it's not exactely like you woke up next to this problem and it startled you. There have been unresolved bugs for years. If this game was a car it would be the Pinto, if this game was a comedian it would be Dane Cook, if this game were a martial art it would be American Karate, if this game were a band it would be Yoko Ono (ya I just said it), you seriously just beat Damnation in crap factor for me. This is a let down, on the level of finding out that Darth Vader with a whiney pretty boy b***h and not a bad ass...

I deal with vendors all day and I spend much money with them, I have stopped them talking before and asked this, "do you even like money? See let me explain guy/lady, I have this stuff, it's called money, you have this stuff, it's generally referred to as goods or services, and I want to use this stuff, this money to buy it. I'm trying REAL hard here to be patient, and I've told you ALL this info so I can get "your stuff" as it were, but you are making it REALLY hard. So in sumation, I have money, you have stuff, let me buy it, thanks." I've seriously never seen this level of crap, what's up, crap economy should mean that we weed out the people that can't cut it in whatever industries are out there, but somehow medicore is the new buzzword in customer satisfaction. It's like d0u<3 (yes dou che is censored wtf) being the new black. Did someone let the Jeresy Shore task take the helm of the universe? I tried buying $500,000 in goods last week from someone, and I know they actually make a good margin on this, and it was like trying to give a giraffe a rectal exam, believe me if giving a giraffe a rectal exam would have accomplished the goal faster I would have done it at this point.
