Sam Simon passed away... Simpsons co-creator.

Sad news. After a long struggle with his cancer, he passed away. Simpsons is one of the few cartoon shows I've followed and thoroughly enjoyed it. I hope his friends and family the best in their time of grief. :sadvaultboy:

I seem to remember watching The Tracy Ullman show many years ago and being less than pleased...until I saw a crudely animated segment of a dysfunctional family we now know as The Simpsons. I knew right away there was something about this show that was special. Not surprisingly, it soon became it's own program that IIRC, is still running.

I've since stopped watching the newer episodes, but still enjoy the older ones very much.

R.I.P. to one of the men who are responsible for bringing so much entertainment and humor to the living rooms of so many people across the globe for decades now.

Some might remember his brilliance in writing for the series Taxi, as well as quite a few episodes of Cheers, The George Carlin Show and the Drew Carey Show.

And of course what he did for the early seasons of the Simpsons.

He will be missed.
