I sunk countless hours into NFS III: Hot Pursuit on PC back in the day. That game was an absolute blast, especially with a joystick. I didn't have a 3D accelerator card at the time but it still looked amazing to me. I wonder how much better it would have looked with that hardware.

Played a lot of 2 with my old man and brother back in the day. Pops wasn't into 3, but my brother and I used to have an absolute blast with the hot pursuit mode. We didn't even race, just tried to get as many cops on us as possible and then run routes across each other to mess with them. Good times.

Same here, if it is the one released in 2002, but on PC. After searching for years (my old CD got majorly scratched, I finally found a copy of this "older" version of Hot Pursuit 2 on Amazon from a reseller. I have since put in many more hours enjoying this fun game :)

I actually got the Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 on Steam and found out it was not the same game :yucky:

If you mean that game, that's what i referring too. http://www.amazon.com/Need-Speed-Hot-Pursuit-2-PC/dp/B00006CRVH/ref=sr_1_2?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1425991139&sr=1-2&keywords=Need+for+Speed%3A+Hot+Pursuit+2+PC

Also there is a hack (ini file) for getting 1080p resolution on PC: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=216349135

Look here too: http://dcericgamingnews.blogspot.ca/2014/01/dceric-game-preview-need-for-speed-hot.html

--------

That's the ini file: (*rendercaps.ini)

Spoiler

[Graphics]
Fullscreen=1
LimitResolution=0
GammaScale=0.990000
MipMap=1
ScreenModeIndex=16
BDepth=32
ZDepth=24
Stencil=8
Width=1680
Height=1050

[GraphicsFE]
ScreenModeIndex=3
BDepth=32
ZDepth=24
Stencil=8
Width=800
Height=600

So obviously you wanna change under [Graphics] Width and Height to your desired resolution and you are done. !!!

OR

Method 1: Make a ini file yourself:

Firstly you should make the file extensions visible in Windows 7

1. Open Windows Explorer and click the Organize button towards the top left. Choose Folder and search options from the menu.

2. Click the View tab in the window that opens, then scroll down and un-check the box next to Hide file extensions for known file types

Then just right click New -> Text Document

Copy paste the *above.

Then File -> Save As

Under Save as type choose: All Files

Under File name, write: rendercaps.ini

Save

That's it...

-----------

Method 2

Search for any ini file in your computer, make a copy of that file, open that file and paste the *above text, and save as rendercaps.ini
