So my game idea I've worked up the past seven years: Basically the player starts the game forced into single player where they start off as a newborn and play their way through their adolescence until age 18. But the thing is before you are born you can choose three eras; medieval, colonial, and modern. Choosing an era makes the game into three totally different stories because of the timelines and such. So after the players turn 18 their town leaders tell them to journey to the outside world, which is where everything gets spicy. Once you leave the town at 18, single player mostly ends and the whole outside world is multiplayer. Players navigate through the huge lands that are placed, which are separated into four islands. The first three islands are the home world islands where players can return to track the status of their ingame house, family, and etc. But in the main, huge island, players, depending on their era choice, can hunt for food, battle each other, roam through settlements and military areas, to anything they wish. In the center is the main town where basically everything huge takes place such as special events and such. Players can play their people until they reach their maximum predetermined age, at which point they must either start a new character or if modern technology picks up, they can take shape in other non human forms and live the rest of the game like that. Of course there's details and stuff that could be added or changed but that's basically the idea.
