What is your favorite quest?

Post » Wed Mar 11, 2015 12:14 am

I'm wondering what your favorite quest is, in any game. Choose one questline(ex. Morrowind main quest, Oblivion DB) and one individual quest(ex. To kill an empire in Skyrim, The Ultimate Heist, Oblivion)

My favorites are: The Mind of Madness in Skyrim, and the Oblivion Thieves Guild.

What do you think?

Favorite questline would probably be Oblivion's Dark Brotherhood, I think. Granted, I didn't do very many questlines in Morrowind lol, so there may be one there that I end up liking better.

Individual quest is tough... I think I'll say Lost to the Ages from Dawnguard, it really catered to my inner explorer ha.

My favorite questline is Morrowind's main quest. My favorite individual quest is probably Skyrim's Season Unending.

I'm interested to see if anyone will pick quests from Arena or Daggerfall.

- "A Night to Remember" you know, the Skyrim quest that's like the movie the hangover.

- The part of the Skyrim main quest where you go to the party at the Thalmor embassy.

- The Oblivion thieves guild and Dark brotherhood.

- I found the thieves guild and dark brotherhood questlines in Skyrim to be fun as well. Yeah, call me crazy.

- I haven't played much of Morrowind, but I liked the Fighter's Guild.

I had not thought about this one, but I agree. I really like Morrowind's main quest, especially learning about the Ashlanders.

"A Night to Remember" from Skyrim is still a favorite of mine, even though most of my characters are not drinkers. Solving the mystery of what all happened that night is fun and some of the things I did were kind of funny. That conversation with the Hagraven cracks me up every time, though it took a couple of times doing the quest before I realized I could talk to her :D

This is not my ultimate favorite ES quest. I have yet to determine what that is. There is however, one phase of Daggerfall's main quest line with an outcome I find quite touching. Relatively early on our avatars are tasked by Prince Lhotun at Castle Sentinel to find out what happened to his missing older brother. What we turn up is rather....well, I don't intend to spoil it for those who have not yet tackled the quest. But it left a lasting impression on me so that after finishing my first play-through in 1997 I recalled the gist of what was unearthed when I again seriously took up the game well over ten years later. (I had not totally abandoned the game during that interval but only ever putzed around in it.)

I've enjoyed many (mostly from Oblivion when compared to Skyrim, although I haven't played Morrowind). My favorites from Oblivion were A Shadow Over Hackdirt and Whodunnit.

My favorite from Skyrim is probably the embassy quest. I don't know why but I really love espionage-esque quests.

Dang this is tough...

I would say Morrwowind's Bloodmoon main quest is my favorite questline, but Oblivion's guild quests are a close second. And I would say Whodunit is my favorite individual quest.

This, with the DB questline as a whole being my favorite questline.
