(ESO) Newreturning players, I want to help you.

Post » Wed Mar 11, 2015 4:00 am

With the Buy to play conversion, there are going to be newbies and returning players. I'll be among the returning players, and I have a lot of low-level woodworking materials. I like crafting.

So, I'm going to make some gear for anyone here that wants it and mailing it to them once Tamriel Unlimited starts. I'll also answer questions about mechanics and stuff (this is is not a thread for arguing if the game is good/bad or scaring away new players. if that's what youre here for, leave now)

If you're wanting to check out reviews or videos of eso, make sure to look at recent videos, and Update 6 just changed a huge amount of things. Angry Joe's release review etc are wildly out if date now.

My specialty is woodworkinh (shields, staves, bows). I might be able to scrounge up parts for some other stuff, though. for woodwoeking, I'll make a set that should last you till level 10 (levels 6,8,10)

If you want to order some gear, post:

Your eso username (If you have an account. If you don't, leave this blank and tell me later or make one. i need your account name, not your character name, to send the items

What it is you want (eg, set of bows).

what style you want the equipment tobe (I can craft Imperial, Altmer, Dunmer, Redguard, Breton and Orc iirc)

eg, I'll order something as an example

elbarto2278

level 6,8,10 Frost Staff, level 16 Bow. All staves Dunmr , bow Imperial

Thanks for doing this.

I do not know if I will get TES online since I am not a fan of playing MMO's but it might be fun to explore all the provinces of Tamriel. I will also have to see how much of a bandwidth you need for the downloads since I have very low bandwidth caps and wireless connection that can be quite intermittent at times.

I think it will be about 25-30 gigabytes, but I'm not entirely sure. The total file size after 1.6 is 41gb, but it might be partly compressed, so I'd expect around 30, possibly more. Installing from scratch will apparently just download the patched client, which is more efficient that installing from disc + patching.

I've been confused about how the dungeon grouping system works. I picked damage as my role, and waited in que for a dungeon, the level on my main is Veteran Rank 5.

I've never been successful at getting into a dungeon group. I'll wait in que forever, and never get in. I figured either I'm doing something wrong, or there aren't very many players at my rank that are waiting in que. So I give up and just quest/grind to level my character, but that's boring after a while.

The LFG tool was notoriously broken for a while (maybe it still is, I haven't played for a few months), so most people don't even bother with it anymore. Ask in zone chat or guild chat if anyone wants to group and you'll probably have better luck.

I just ordered the game from Amazon and should be here in 4-5 business days. The bad part is my internet svcks, like the speed is fast, but when it comes to downloading games or stuff like that it takes forever.

Good thinking. Give me a shout if you're on EU and need anything. :)

At this point nobody knows if it's broken or not, everyone just learned not to use it. Daily Undaunted pledges are the best way for veterans to find groups, there are always plenty of people looking to do them.

Oh, yeah, servers. I should mention I'm on NA, but not EU.

Thanks. I'll update the OP later (my psvita is being used atm, a bit annoying when making long posts)
