be a colonist.

This is my dream, partially satisfied with "Never say Nerevar" mod: be a simple condemned-and-released new colonist in Vvardenfell. No more great save-the-whole-world quests, simply a life into a new world, chance of a career into theFaction/Guilds/Houses, no more than that.

After all, I have seen Vvardenfell like a sort of XVIII century Australia, when criminals were sent to colonize the land, and have a better chance than in their own homeland: a little adjustment to the NsN mod will give the perfect world where live and stay.

1- Jiub will be not the Nerevarine, because in Oblivion is named as Saint Jiub, chaser of cliffracers;

2- Need a variation in the Census office, simply saying that the character was a convicted,released for get a new life into these savage and distant lands.

No more than that, but someone can work around this, using NsN as basis for this new mod? I hope.

And about you alls, whats your preference, be a big hero or a simple newcomer interested to live more or less peacefully in this land?

I have only played the main quest once. So every character I've played since then has been a simple newcomer. :)

In my opinion, the ability to play the hero, or not, is what makes the game so appealing. I enjoy the fact that one character can follow the path of destiny and save the world, while another becomes a local gossip target and not much more. The game delivered exactly as promised, to live another life, in another world, and do or be whatever you want. The fact that the OPTION is there, but you're not railroaded into it, is the ideal combination, at least to me.

"Every event is preceded by prophecy, but without the hero, there is no event." And so the game tells you from the very beginning that you can be the Nerevarine or not at your leisure. :)

I redo the MQ sometimes, from starter (i.e. not waiting for level 20+, or collecting artefacts before heading to Caius Cosades) because I really like the beginning of the MQ: slowly unravelling mysteries and lore, giong further and further from the main civilized areas, etc.

Now I really prefer to play as a freelance adventurer and I don't even join the factions. I prefer to make my own quests, like collecting every books of the 36 Lessons of Vivec.

One thing I swear I will never touch again is the Bloodmoon MQ. Full of nonsense and not fun at all.
