My own way about houses

This is a simple advice, an idea for people that like have a home, or some homes in Morrowind, but is confused because the millions of house mods realized in the time.

Well, first of all I thought about don't touch the natural environs: a house must be naturally included in the surrounding, easy to find, come and back, and maintain.

My own choices there are follows:

a- Independent houses

Seyda Neen:

since I have found 2 mods that complete the polished dagger and Vodunius Nuccius quests, I can gain a little house into the town.

Also, I used have a mod that give me a cave near Seyda Neen, acquiring via eliminating the previous owner -a Dunmer, probably in some friendship with Camonna Tong (I hate them, really)- very nice and well done. I mantain also this cave mod because I like have a secluded cave for myself, like a hermit, and if I play Argonian, this cave fits so well.

Balmora:

One of the firsts place to visit, and probably a place where spent a lot of time. Once a time I had a nice subterranean house in an alley after the Fighters and Mage Guilds, but now I choosed for a more modest home in the eastern side near the walls: little but nice and well located and useful.

An old mod found in the infinite number of Balmora house mods, but very useful.

Amaya Lake:

An old pleasure of myself, a nice Amaya lake home, 2 stores, and a beautiful view.

Another old mod,but very well realized. For a different place in the same area, Ihad a mod with an isle and a home, complete to boat that move from Balmora to this isle.

Suran:

Crehange Castle. This mod has 2 ways to be used: 1) use at home, its a real grand place, marvelous for your high level characters; 2) as turistic attraction: simply a castle, owned by someone, that is also a great reference for orienteering in this area: if you see Crehange, you are surely near Suran! Note: use the whole mod, complete with towers.

b- Imperial Office housemod

Vivec:

Once a time I had a house mod here, but now there's the mod with the imperial office that sells me houses, and if I remember well, offer also a house into the city.

The houses sold by the imperial officials are sparse in the world, some at North, covering well this area, and fitting with the environs as I wanted, then I not take others housemods, save:

c- Tents

the Ranger tent, and the Ashlander yurt mod. The first become useful at start, and for many time my tent will go with me, helping me a lot, the second I will take more or less when I will discover Ashlander and their culture: of course Ranger tent will finish in a crate very soon, its nothing compared a real Ashlander yurt :D

d- Housemods dependant by something other

I used to take the chance, offered by Arcimaestro Antares, to have my own tower if I become leader of Mages Guild, but this not happen everytime, because my pleasure to be a member, maybe respected and famous, but one of the many mages into the Guild. In every way, usually I put this mod,if I wanted do more career, better have ready.

Hi there, Ambrosius

Never knew this lake is the Amaya that one hears about so often. A nice place to leave one's goodies is great to have. Especially when the view is so great. It's a great idea. I'll send one of My Heroes scouting there this week. #MWAT will have a house there soon too. Probably only a Beach House Exit. Beach House is a junction that connects to Hero's Junction, which one may enter thtough the Hero's Place in Seyda Neen West.

Whatever. My House is the humblest of Houses , but it connects to almost any corner of The World. Great place for a Hero to have.

Once you start to Love MW, there's no way to stop it.

[edit] But please tell us where we can find *your* Amaya House

Yep. This has long been a gripe I have with some Morrowind house mods. Inexperienced and over-enthusiastic modders too often go hog-wild with the landscaping tool. One fairly well-known Ald-Ruhn house mod unnecessarily terraformed nearly the entire city of Ald'ruhn. That kind of thing should never happen.

Hi,

I like the idea of your thread and also agree with your conditions (although sometimes changes to landscape are necessarry). Perhaps you could also provide links to the mods you have chosen? It would definitely help
