good morning all. web back on and have a slight problem...i lost fawkes.
it started in the metro tunnels aproaching Baileys crossroads, he was with me in the tunnels and when i apeared back on the the baily wasteland he was no where, i had to cap at least 4 mutant overlords on my own. Thought something was wrong cos i not heard him screeming while he collinders the mutos.
Is this a glitch, or has he just got bored? Any suggestions.

if you have any of the DLCs (other than OA) if you go into them it sends you follower back to their hangout. If you don't have any DLCs, than you gotta go find him.

waiting in-game for a day helps sometimes.

Maybe he went back to the Museum of History. Either that, or he's waiting where you left him last.

Yep that's his haunt, if he isn't there then he's probably close to where you last saw him

Problem is unless he dies or voluntarily returns to Underworld (left alone or waiting for too long) you can't recruit another follower. Does anyone know how long you need to leave a follower before they return to their locations? And would Fawkes in this case (getting stuck in the metro) count as being left alone?

He could be stuck in something. Have you tried fast traveling?

Usually works for me.

They'll return to their default location after seven days if they're waiting anywhere other than your Megaton house or Tenpenny suite.

Umm, I think I remember a dev saying that if you wait 7 days your follower will return to where you found them in the first place.
